The summer artist workshop took  me to a beautiful estate near Aberdeen, Scotland.  This was my 4th European trip  hosted by  good friends Julie and Shirley , of Workshops in France.   This workshop was taught by well known figurative artist Ruth Fitton.   The estate where we stayed for 9 days was surrounded by wooded fields, flowers, shrubs, and magnificent trees and beautiful gardens.  It was an absolutely stunning background to  take in the demos and lessons.  Julie and Shirley lavished their 18 artist attendees with food, wine, and activities, taking us  to local beaches,  restaurants, and places to explore and paint.    It was a truly memorable  experience.

The scenery was truly breathtaking.
